WHO WE ARE
- To help the poor in Southeast Asia.
- To promote the teachings and practices of Mindfulness in Plum Village Tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Hoa Tinh Thuong - Loving Flowers Mindfulness has two missions:
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are determined to make an impact on the livelihoods of families in Southeast Asia. We advance the Buddhist philosophy of ‘compassionate giving’ by providing food, housing, clean well water, health care, scholarship, and public welfare to the underprivileged, homeless, and sick . We also support monastics activity such as building of a new temple and others.
Our directors practice mindfulness in tradition of Plum Village with Thanh Thoi Sangha in Seattle, Washington. The Sangha usually organizes English Speaking Wake Up Retreat almost every years for young adults. The Vietnamese Speaking retreat is held every two years. Two of our directors also belong to the Thanh Thoi Sangha's committee that organizes the retreat.
